How to DIY a Personalized Chalkboard Vase
Personalized Chalkboard Vase for Valentine’s Day – it can be the most wonderful time of year or your biggest nightmare, depending on how much thought you put into it. No matter how we try to cover it up, our sweethearts always know if their Valentine gift is an afterthought or something that took time to plan. “But sweetheart, I want to keep Valentine’s Day casual this year so that we can focus on what really matters” never works and if it does, your gig is up once she talks to all her friends and hears all the romantic things their partners have done. So it pays to put a little effort in making sure your valentine feels special!
One of my favorite gifts is a poem vase using Krylon Chalkboard Paint and a glue gun. We customized this project for Valentine’s Day with our choice of words, but this project can also be done for any occasion.
Supplies:
– Glue gun
– Glue sticks
– Clear glass vase
– Chalk
– Krylon Chalkboard Paint
Step 1:
Choose a saying or poem that you know your Valentine will enjoy. Using your glue gun, write the words with hot glue and let dry.
Step 2:
Flip the vase upside down and spray two coats of Krylon Chalkboard Paint on the entire vase. Let dry.
Step 3:
Bring the vase to your florist and ask them to create a beautiful floral arrangement.
Step 4:
Using chalk, write a lovely note for your Valentine on the vase. Happy Valentine’s Day!
