Simple D.I.Y Ruffled Scarf
Supplies Needed:
- XXL T-shirt
- Meal size foam plate
- White chalk
- Scissors
- Fabric Glue
- Hair elastic that matches the t-shirt
- Flower
Instructions:
1. Lay the t-shirt on the table or floor and place the foam plate close to the edge of the t-shirt. Trace around the plate using the chalk. You want to trace as many circles as you can onto the t-shirt.
2. Cut out the circles and wipe off any remaining chalk.
3. Cut an indent of about 1 ½ inches in the circle and cut the circle into a spiral shape. Repeat this step with all the remaining circles. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
4. Now it’s time to build your scarf. Use a door handle to help you. Hang one piece at a time and glue each piece in place with the fabric glue. Glue the spirals at different lengths to create fullness and the perfect length.
5. Glue the flower onto the elastic and slide the elastic around the scarf like a ponytail.
6. Enjoy your new ruffled scarf!
