Marc and Mandy’s Favourite Hummus Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1can chickpeas, drained and washed
- 1 freshly squeezed lemon
- ¼ cup tahini
- 1 medium garlic clove
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp cumin
- 3 tbsp water
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Additional optional ingredients:
- Roasted red pepper
- Chipolte pepper
- Sundried tomatoes
- Feta
- Jalapenos
- Beets
- Avocado
1. Mix the tahini, lemon juice, garlic clove and cumin in food processor for 1 minute until smooth.
2. Add drained and washed chickpeas and process until thick and smooth.
3. Add the water and process for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Garnish with a sprinkle of cumin or paprika and fresh parsley.
