Seasonal Health & Fitness Tips
It can be tough to stay active, especially during the cold winter months. So, on this segment of The Marc and Mandy Show: Your Wellness Fix, Janis Isaman of My Body Couture gives some health and fitness tips to help during the seasons.
Janis Isaman: Hey Marc and Mandy! Today we’re going to talk about seasonal health and fitness tips. At this time of year we tend to want to focus on our health and fitness. Summer is long gone and this is a time of year when we really start to refocus, especially with New Year’s resolutions coming up. This year, I want to invite you to try something completely different. Scrap the New Year’s resolutions! Number one, ask yourself if your body is in pain. Pain means those aches and those creaky joints. Anything that’s sort of nagging at you is feeling uncomfortable, work on that element first because we can’t build true fitness on top of a pyramid of pain. Number two, let’s think about what’s truly sustainable. We often jump from zero to thinking that we’re gonna work out for two hours a day and lose 51 pounds in the next 27 days. That’s not really sustainable. Health and fitness is about having a program and a plan that we can do for the rest of our lives.
