Spicy Coconut Shrimp
In this segment of The Marc and Mandy Show, Chef Rob Thomas shows Marc how to make a spicy coconut shrimp dish. Keep reading to learn how to recreate this tasty dish at home.
What you’ll need: coconut milk, garlic chilli sauce, salt, onion, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, bell pepper, lime juice, cilantro
Step 1: Slice and Dice
Start off this recipe by chopping up your onion, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, and bell peppers into small cubes.
Step 2: Season the Shrimp
Now, season your shrimp with salt. Seasoning with salt prior to cooking will help to bring out the flavors of the shrimp later on. Begin to cook your shrimp on a hot pan.
Step 3: Add in Onion, Garlic, and Ginger
While the shrimp is cooking, start adding your other ingredients into the pan. Add in onion, garlic, and ginger. Use tongs to move your shrimp around a little bit in the pan.
Step 4: Add in Tomatoes and Bell Peppers
Once you start to smell the garlic and ginger, add in tomatoes and bell peppers.
Step 5: Add Some Sweet, Salty, and Tangy
Next, add in a bit of coconut milk and chilli sauce, followed by fresh lime juice and cilantro. Let the pan simmer on a medium heat.
Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Finally, plate your dish, garnish with your remaining cilantro, and enjoy!
