10 Bedtime Beauty Tips
A bedtime beauty routine is very helpful, but to each their own! I, myself would rather do a nighttime routine then a morning one. “Experts” can never agree which time is best, but you need to do what works best for you. I have some quick and easy bedtime beauty tips; I hope they work for you!
Lather up Before You Go to Bed:
To start off, you need to get into a nighttime habit of scrubbing your face. Throughout the day, your face is a collector of junk from the environment. It’s best to get yourself a good facial scrubber and take lots of that dirt that gets in your skin. You can even DIY it with homemade facial cleansers that are frugal and easy to make.
Don’t Wear Make-Up to Bed:
I know this is kind of an obvious one but regardless, lots of women do it! If you leave your make-up on for the night, the make-up gets deep into your pores which will in turn cause you to age faster and boy can you see it!
Braid Your Hair Before Bed:
If you need to get going in the morning and don’t want to spend a lot of time doing your hair; make it easy on yourself and braid your hair before you go to sleep. This will more or less keep your hair in place. When you wake up, all you got to do is brush it out and zip off to start your day.
Use an Eye Treatment:
A nighttime eye treatment will show your tired morning eyes who’s boss and take away the look of fine lines and crows feet. Plus, it will help keep your eyes from looking puffy in the morning.
Raise Yourself Up:
When you go sleep with your head raised/elevated, it will help the blood circulation in your neck and face. This will reduce the flow of blood to your lymph nodes and make you less puffy in the morning.
Less Carbs at Night:
When you eat healthy, your body loves you more. It can also help you look and feel great in the morning. Do you best to avoid carbs in the evening. You don’t have to give up carbs completely but avoiding them in the evenings will help you feel better in the morning.
Stay Moisturized:
Moisturizing is very important! Apply a moisturizer before you go to bed and you will wake up feeling like a million bucks with glowing, healthy skin. Give your body a rub down of body lotion and don’t skip your face either.
Sleep Facing Up:
People say that sleeping on your back will give you wrinkles. Who knows? This maybe a hard one to follow but try your best to sleep on your back.
Let Your Feet Get Some Air:
If you sleep with your socks, you are breeding foot fungus. No one wants that! Sleeping in your socks keeps the moisture in and your feet will sweat! Ew!
Get Your Beauty Sleep:
I know Jimmy Fallon is on late night but beauty sleep is not an urban legend. Your body and skin need lots of time to regenerate and restore. Make sure to get at least 8 hours. Your body will love you for it.
