Cleaning Products That Pull Double Duty
When it comes to cleaning, wouldn’t you want to spend less money and get more done? Of course; we all would. Why buy ten different cleaning products if you can spend half the money and time and get the same result? You probably have a lot of these items in your house already.
Borax:
Borax is an amazing product that has hundreds of uses. Did you know that you can use it as a carpet refresher as well as a grout cleaner? For the carpet just sprinkle it on and leave it for ten minutes before vacuuming. For the grout, simply make a paste with Borax and water and use an old toothbrush to apply.
Banana Peels:
Did you know that you can use banana peels for polishing your silverware as well as taking scuffs out of your dress shoes?
WD-40:
You can use wd-40 for taking the squeak out of door hinges as well as taking crayon off the wall. Just simply squeeze it onto the crayon mark and wipe off.
Baking Soda:
With baking soda, you can clean your oven by making a paste with it and letting it soak. You can also use it for unclogging drains. All you need to do is pour one cup of baking soda down the drain followed by one cup of warm vinegar and it will help unclog without harsh chemicals.
Dishwasher Detergent:
Not only does dishwasher detergent clean your dishes, it can also be used for cleaning your whirlpool hot tub. All you need to do for the hot tub is fill the tub with 3 inches of water, turn off the air induction valve and add a 1/4 cup of detergent and 1/2 cup bleach. Run your jets and wipe the tub down. Rinse and your tub will be all clean.
A Bar of Soap:
With a bar of soap can also be used to unstuck a zipper. To make that happen all you need to do is hold the fabric tight and rub the bar on the front and back sides of the zipper then gently pull the zipper down. Piece of cake!
Windex:
Windex does have a few uses around the house; not only does it clean your glass and mirrors, it also gets rid of oily surfaces in your kitchen such as your stove and counters.
Coconut Oil:
Coconut Oil has a hundred and one uses including cleaning. Coconut oil can be used for cleaning your shower. It can also be used for cleaning leather. For both the shower and the leather, all you need to is rub them both down with the oil and you’ll have a clean, shiny finish.
