What is Face Mapping?
Did you know it’s possible to read the skin on your face? By observing certain qualities of your skin health – such as luster or dullness, colour and breakouts – it is actually possible to ascertain clues pertaining to internal organ health.
The history of face mapping dates back several thousands of years to the days of ancient Chinese medicine, preceding MRI and X-ray machines.
When face mapping, your face is divided into zones. If you are having problems with skin health consistently in one zone or another, your body could be trying to tell you something. For instance, reoccurring acne on your forehead could be linked to your nervous and digestive systems, indicating liver and/or gall balder issues. A solution to this would be to watch your intake of processed foods and trans fats, and also incorporating relaxation techniques such as yoga or meditation to lower anxiety and stress. Breakouts in another problem area – your chin – may indicate a hormone imbalance. Discolouration or patchiness on your cheeks could imply poor metabolism and low absorption of nutrients. These are important things to address, though you may not know that simply from the luster of your skin, which is why it is important to seek expert advice.
